As a number of 5G programmes roll out in the UK, we are now looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead the growth of the Telecom Infrastructure business. You will be the central point of control and co-ordination for all telecom projects and will bring together sales, engineering, customer service, transport, procurement and production. You will ensure that customer projects are delivered to schedule, to specification, to cost and to quality. You will also manage an internal relationship who leads on customer interface.
The Role:
- Act as the single point of contact for telecom projects.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders across sales, engineering, customer service, transport, procurement and production.
- Manage communications to ensure project expectations are clearly understood.
- Drive workload through the design and engineering teams to meet customer and project deadlines.
- Monitor production lead times, procurement requirements and design milestones.
- Communicate directly with contractors, network operators and other external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure telecom projects are delivered on time, to specification and in line with customer expectations.
- Identify project risks, delays or resource constraints and escalate where appropriate.
- Support the growth of the telecom business by improving project visibility, communication and delivery performance.
About You:
We are looking for someone with strong project coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills. You will be comfortable working in a manufacturing, infrastructure, engineering or telecom-related environment and will be able to manage multiple priorities at once.
You will bring to the table:
- Experience in project management, project coordination or operational delivery with strong MS Project skills; we will also consider people with good P6 experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.
- Excellent organisational and planning ability.
- Experience working with engineering, manufacturing, construction, telecoms or infrastructure projects.
- The ability to manage deadlines and maintain momentum across several live projects.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Confidence dealing with customers, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of how delays, lead times and design changes affect project delivery.
