We are recruiting for a Junior / Trainee H&S Advisor in London, the company is based in Borehamwood, the H&S Advisor will be based on a project in Battersea.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular health and safety inspections and audits on live sites.
- Support site teams with HSEQ compliance and procedures.
- Monitor activities to identify hazards and report findings.
- Review RAMS with the team.
- Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
- Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks/briefings.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and safe systems of work.
- Produce inspection reports and maintain safety documentation.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture across projects.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act, CDM Regulations and company policies.
Key requirements:
- Previous experience in construction health & safety or a site-based role (Minimum 6 - 12 months).
- Previous RC Frame experience is highly desirable (open to background, as entry level would consider other sectors).
- Any study towards environmental or sustainability would be an advantage.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with site teams.
- Eagerness to learn and develop in a safety career.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
