We are recruiting for a Junior / Trainee H&S Advisor in London, the company is based in Borehamwood, the H&S Advisor will be based on a project in Battersea

Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular health and safety inspections and audits on live sites
  • Support site teams with HSEQ compliance and procedures
  • Monitor activities to identify hazards and report findings
  • Review RAMS with the team
  • Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations
  • Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks/briefings
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance and safe systems of work
  • Produce inspection reports and maintain safety documentation
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture across projects
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act, CDM Regulations and company policies

Key requirements

  • Previous experience in construction health & safety or a site-based role (Minimum 6 - 12 months)
  • Previous RC Frame experience is highly desirable (open to background, as entry level would consider other sectors
  • Any study towards environmental or sustainability would be an advantage
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with site teams
  • Eagerness to learn and develop in a safety career
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK Driving Licence
