The Basics:
- Role: Production Operative – Trainee Production Team Leader
- Location: Heanor
- Hours: Monday-Thursday (7.30am to 4.00pm) and Fridays (7.30am to 1.00pm) (37.5hr)
- Salary: £13.38 per hour / £26,091 per annum + OT (Paid at x1.5 Mon-Sat and x2 Sun) = earnings of £30,000 and upwards achievable. Once progressed to Team Leader this would rise to £13.68 per hour.
- Holidays & Pension: 30 days, salary sacrifice pension = 5% individual contribution / 7% company
Overview:
Working for a manufacturing business that makes fire seals for the likes of the Oil and Gas industry as well as the Marine and Defence Industry, we now require someone to join the production department. You will be tasked to assemble bespoke mouldings, reading engineering drawings, operating sewing machines, cutting and marking out to create material fire seals.
The ideal candidate / Production Operative may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Must have previous experience working within a production, manufacturing or engineering environment
- Capable of following SOPs and reading engineering drawings
- Previous experience leading a team OR strong communication and organisational skills with the capability to lead once trained.
