Do you have a strong understanding of fabrication and welding (MIG/MMA/Stick welding/plating etc.) Are you looking for a Projects focused role - this will be office focused, working closely with the shop floor, however managing projects from concept to completion taking ownership of the part through the manufacturing process and successful delivery to the customer. The basics: Role: Fabrications project engineer Location: Alfreton Salary: Up to £52,000 Hours: Monday to Thursday - 7:30am-4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am-2pm Contracted hours: 40 per week Holidays and Benefits: 33 days holiday, Xmas shut down, 7.5% pension, x4 salary death in service.Overview: We now require an additional Project Engineer to join the team. Working with clean, modern purpose built manufacturing facilities in the fabrication department that weld complex, high integrity fabrications in a range of materials such as carbon and stainless steels varying from 3mm to 100mm. As the Project Engineer you will be working in a technical role managing projects for the customer from start to finish, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget. You will create manufacturing route cards to ensure the best methods to manufacture liaising with internal departments whilst also managing any external resources required for the project. The ideal candidate Fabrications project engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually: Knowledge of Fabrication processes - welding and fabrication Excellent inter-personal and presentation skills. Competence in Microsoft office packages Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications and break out the details and processes required for each operation required for manufacture.Commutable from, Alfreton, Chesterfield, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas.
