Position : Design Engineer Draftsman, Draftsperson, CAD Operator Location : Home based – expect 3 days working from home, 1 day in the office and 1 day on site. Sheffield / Chesterfield / South Yorkshire / North Derbyshire / North Nottinghamshire Sector : Renewable energy, sustainability, automotive, green transport solutions Salary : £35,000-£45,000 according to experience Visa : We are unable to offer any visa or sponsorship support for this role. You MUST have the right to work in the UK Driving licence : A full UK driving licence is very much preferred. Access to own transport is also very beneficial Suitable for a new Graduate : No, you will need to be able to demonstrate professional experience in an engineering environment Do you want to be part of the move towards green transport solutions? We have a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation which is providing electrification to commercial vehicle fleets – HGVs and buses. Projects are high value and are unique, offering a great variety of work. Whilst still very much in start up phase, they are already winning some prestigious contracts and are set to double in size through 2025, and then to double again in 2026. The role will be diverse but will include :- · Creating outline CAD drawings as part of bids, tenders, RFQs and RFIs · Undertaking site surveys · Creating general arrangement drawings, single line diagrams, site plans, section views, vehicle tracking layouts etc · Creating drawings of charging stations detailing OEM equipment · Providing cost estimates for components and systems · Compiling bills of materials · Maintaining the drawing and documentation library What will you bring to the table ? · A formal qualification in an engineering or technical subject · CAD literate. Currently Autocad is used for most drawing production but Solidworks, Inventor or other packages are also welcome. · Self-motivation – someone who goes and does as opposed to someone who waits to be told what to do · Passion – a genuine desire to make a difference to commercial fleet transport · An entrepreneurial approach, willing to work in a fast growing start up organisation · Able to work at pace.
