Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 1pm

Overview: Working within a first-class precision engineering business that manufacture components with methods such as CNC Machining, Sheet metal and Fabrication, we now require a Bid Engineer to join the team. Responsible for leading the estimating process for new business opportunities, particularly - preparing accurate and timely cost estimates and competitive proposals.
The role involves analysing customer requirements and technical data, collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Strategic Sourcing teams, and engaging with machine tool and cutting tool suppliers to determine manufacturing solutions and investment needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Presenting bids to customers
- Explaining costing methodologies
- Supporting the development of best-practice estimating processes
- Handing over successful projects to the Programmes team
- Regularly reviewing and improving estimating practices
