Hybrid: Potentially some flexibility after probation but as a leadership role, please expect this position to be very much office based in the West London area if not out with customers either in the UK or abroad.

Please note: this role requires strong experience and understanding of APAC (Asia Pacific), of the countries within that region and of the customs and procedures of doing business in those countries.
It will also be extremely beneficial if you have experience of dealing with public bodies, governments etc and have an understanding of the procurement processes that they work to.
Experience of engineered products plus aftermarket services will be required.
The role: As Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager, you manage a small team delivering contracts into the APAC region. You will lead on contract negotiations which will require very strong customer management and interpersonal communication skills coupled with an in-depth understanding of the business customs of the country with which you are dealing.
Contracts will normally be concluded with governmental bodies and national institutions (including military). You will be an accomplished presenter, at ease with dealing with high ranking officials in various capacities. Contract meetings may take place in the UK (corporate headquarters), at Embassies (London area) or in the country with whom you are contracting.
There will be an element of travel required although it is envisaged that this will be 10-20% maximum.
Fluency in written and spoken English is an absolute pre-requisite. The ability to communicate in other APAC languages is beneficial but by no means essential as the business language is English.
Commercial skills are essential; experience and understanding of contractual terms and conditions, international export and finance, exchange rates etc will all be necessary skills for the role. People management, people development and leadership skills will complete your repertoire.
On offer is a basic salary c £75,000 (negotiable) plus a comprehensive benefits package including a very attractive pension. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with a lunchtime finish on Fridays.
