Overview: We now require an additional Controls Engineer to join the team. Working in modern purpose-built manufacturing facilities for a company that manufacture bespoke automated machinery. You will be working in a first-class engineering environment that have processes such as machining, fabrication and a number of outsourced processes also.
Key responsibilities of the Controls Engineer role:
- Design & Program: Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs for automation systems.
- Troubleshoot & Optimize: Analyse control systems to identify issues and implement improvements.
- Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
- Provide detailed documentation both during and upon project completion to other engineering departments and for the end user, such as FDS's, FAT's, User Manuals etc.
The ideal candidate / Controls Engineer may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- HNC/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (preferred)
- Experience in PLC / HMI Programming - Rockwell/Allen Bradley/Mitsubishi.
- Previous experience working as a Controls / Automation Engineer in an automation and machine build/machine design environment or similar.
- Experience using software such as Studio 5000, Factory Talk View, GX Works 2, GT Designer 3 & Machine edition.
Commutable from: Castle Donington, Derby, Loughborough, Leicester, Burton Upon Trent, Ashby and surrounding areas.
