This role working in energy storage/battery development is technical, customer facing and strategic, and we require someone with experience of all three elements. The aim of the role is to lead anode product technical qualification and customer-focused development activities. You will be responsible for developing and executing technical programs for performance improvements of the anode product portfolio and associated manufacturing process. The role is customer facing and drives product portfolio alignment with customers' current and future needs.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Masters Level qualification in a relevant subject. Preference will be given to people with a PhD Level qualification.
- Experience of the development of anodes is very much preferred.
- Experience of developing graphite products.
- Experience of the application of battery and energy storage systems in industry.
- Experience of the scale-up of technical products from pilot to full production is beneficial.
- Customer facing, able to explain highly technical topics to a mixed audience comprising technical and non-technical members.
- Project management/project delivery experience of the development of technical products within the energy storage sector, specifically with the development of anodes.
- Able to build anode product and production know-how and stay updated with market trends. Communicate this to the product and R&D teams.
- Able to offer technical expertise and project management to ensure expected timelines, targets and outcomes are clearly communicated to the product team and management through regular reports.
- Able to support the development of product roadmap and strategy and the associated annual budget.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
