Location: Hull, Beverley, Cottingham

Hours: Permanent afternoons. Monday to Thursday 1.00 pm to 10.00 pm plus 2.5 hours to be worked on a Friday.

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000.

About the role:

  • Reactive and preventative maintenance of a wide range of production machinery and equipment.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, carrying out fault finding and repairs.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues on mechanical and electrical systems according to your specialism.
  • Install and commission new machinery and equipment.
  • Identify root causes of faults and implement long-term solutions.
  • Experience working with automated production equipment is preferred.
  • Support production to achieve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) targets and work to minimise downtime and improve machine performance.
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
  • Work in line with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Follow safe systems of work, permits, and LOTO procedures.

About You:

  • Ideally apprentice trained with either Mechanical or electrical qualifications with strong fault finding skills.
  • Experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing is essential.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance (PPM) and of using CMMS.
  • Understanding of health & safety practices.
  • Good problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
