Hybrid: No – this role is office based Monday to Friday

Salary: £35,000‑£55,000 negotiable

Job Responsibilities

  • Take on product design, development and detailing for mechanical products and components installed in capital plant.
  • Conduct on‑site measurements of existing mechanical products and components.
  • Transfer measurement data back to the office to create engineering and manufacturing designs and drawings.
  • Travel to sites worldwide as required.
  • Compose technical reports.

Key Qualifications

  • Excellent written and spoken English; experience dealing with customers for whom English is a foreign language.
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD with a main package such as SolidWorks, SolidEdge or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Formal mechanical engineering qualification (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to avoid costly mistakes.
  • Knowledge of material selection, heat treatment, casting, cutting, welding and machining.
