Salary: Up to £46,100 per annum + overtime and bonus = £51k and upwards.

Shift: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off (Rotating)

Holidays/Benefits: 22 shifts of annual leave, Medicash, Cycle to work, Pension.

As a Shift Manager, you will lead and supervise a production team on your assigned shift, ensuring operational targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong manufacturing experience, team management skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and coaching.

Overview of responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of production operators and technicians.
  • Ensure production targets (output, quality, efficiency) are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor shift performance and address any operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Conduct shift handovers and ensure clear communication across teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste.
  • Ensure accurate completion of shift reports, production records, and KPI tracking.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • 5S and lean manufacturing methodology - experience.

Commutable from Heanor, Ilkeston, Ripley, Alfreton, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas.
