Are you an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in residential groundworks, looking for more than just another job? Nicholas Associates are working with a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor who is looking to bring on board a Senior Site Engineer to manage large-scale residential projects across the East Midlands.
Role Overview: As a Senior Site Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing groundworks packages for major housing developers. From site setup through to infrastructure and foundation delivery, you'll ensure technical accuracy, safety compliance, and on‑time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising site engineers and subcontractors QA checks and maintaining accurate site records
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Liaising with project managers, clients, and design teams
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met across the site
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in residential groundworks
- Proficient with GPS/setting out equipment (e.g. Leica/Trimble)
- Strong knowledge of (Plots/Earthworks/Roads & Sewers/278 works)
- Leica machine control experience and creating models
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD 3D civil preferred but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
