The Basics

Role: Mechanical Operative – Assembly and Finishing department

Location: Redditch

Shift and Pay Options:

Option 1: Mon-Fri Days

Mon to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am to 12:30

Monday to Wednesday 4:30pm to 2:30am and Thursdays 4:30pm to 1:30am (39hrs)

Pay:

Overtime: available at 1.33 Mon-Fri, 1.5 Saturday and double time Sunday.

Environment: Manufacturing – precision engineering

Role: Permanent

Holidays/Benefits: holidays are calculated in hours but work out to be 5.6 weeks of annual leave per year inc. bank holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks inc. bank holidays following 1 year of continuous service. Death in Service Benefit – 2 x annual salary. Employer 3% / Employee 5% – Pension.

Overview

We now require a Mechanical Operative to join the metal finishing department.

As the Mechanical Operative you will be tasked to finish precision engineered components working to tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate / Mechanical Operative may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Mechanically competent working with hand tools – grinders, ratchets etc.

Commutable from: Stratford-upon-Avon, Redditch, Alcester, Warwick and surrounding areas
