Are you experienced in dimensionally checking components using hand-held measuring tools such as Verniers and Calipers? Do you want to work an early shift from 06:00 to 14:30 Monday to Thursday, and 06:00 to 10:30 on Friday? If so, please read on!
The Basics
- Location: Long Eaton
- Hours: Early Shift; 06:00 - 14:30 Monday to Thursday, 06:00 - 10:30 on Friday
- Contracted hours per week: 39 hours
- Employment Type: Permanent
- Pay: Up to £34,500
- Overtime: Paid at 1.5x Mon-Sat and double on Sundays
- Holidays/Benefits: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, with additional days after every 5 years of service (up to 4 days), annual pay rises, pension, modern work environment, free parking, and uniform
Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our inspection department. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect machined and fabricated components using hand-held measuring tools within a precision engineering environment, working in a modern, purpose-built manufacturing facility for a high-end engineering business.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate may have some of the following qualifications, but please note these are desirable, not essential, as all applications will be considered individually:
- Time Served Apprenticeship (beneficial)
- Experience in dimensionally checking precision-engineered parts against drawings using hand-held measuring tools such as Verniers and calipers
