We are seeking a motivated and experienced Site Engineer, for a very successful civil engineering company, to support the delivery of a significant infrastructure project in Blackburn involving 278 works, roundabout relocation, carriageway widening, and compound entrance construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set out works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure construction activities are delivered accurately and to required tolerances.
  • Produce and maintain quality assurance records and inspection documentation.
  • Conduct site surveys and maintain as-built records.
  • Assist with planning and sequencing of works.
  • Support subcontractor management and technical queries.
  • Monitor progress against programme requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Previous experience working on highways projects.
  • Competent in setting out using GPS and total station equipment.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • CSCS card.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience with road widening, drainage, earthworks, and junction improvements.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and surveying software.
