Nicholas Associates has an excellent opportunity for an Electronic Assembly Engineer, to work for a Lincoln based client. We are looking for a key individual to join the Manufacturing Team as an Electronic Assembly Process Engineer. This is a hands-on role in which the successful candidate will support assembly of key electronic assemblies and use a range of techniques, including but not limited to Wire Bonding (Ball and Wedge), Epoxy and Soldering. The Electronic Assembly Process Engineer will ensure that processes are optimised to maintain consistency, time utilisation and quality, whilst ensuring that scrap and rework are minimised at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimisation and design of production processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the assembly and engineering teams.
- Implement and maintain process controls through visual management and reporting.
- Collect and analyse data for trends and process improvement.
- Ensure that Assembly Processes are documented.
- Provide technical support to ensure that quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Train and mentor staff on existing and new processes.
- Ensure that Project activity is delivered to timescale and budget.
- Cross functional collaboration to develop new and drive improvement in existing processes.
- Provide a monthly report to support site Quality initiatives.
- Drive improvement by research and introduction of new equipment and processes.
You will have:
- Higher technical education.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing company, ideally within the electronics field is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills to be able to identify the source of problems.
- Good MS Office skills - experience in SAP would be beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Great communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Have strong attention to detail.
