An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent to join a major civil engineering and highways project in Blackburn. The scheme includes 278 works, roundabout relocation, carriageway widening, and the construction of a new compound entrance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour resources.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and implement recovery measures where required.
- Liaise with the client, stakeholders, local authorities, and utility providers.
- Review and manage temporary works, traffic management, and construction methodologies.
- Maintain accurate site records and reporting documentation.
- Support commercial teams with progress updates and change management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Agent within highways projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and construction management principles.
- SMSTS certification.
- CSCS card.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts in a live construction environment.
- Knowledge of earthworks, drainage, road construction, and utility coordination.
