Furnace Operator
Rotherham £15.83 per hour Temporary to Permanent Rotating Shifts:
- 6:00am - 2:00pm
- 2:00pm - 10:00pm
- 10:00pm - 6:00am
Stafforce Recruitment are recruiting for a Furnace Operator to join a leading manufacturing company in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity offering long-term work with the chance of a permanent contract.
The Role
- Set up and operate strand annealing furnaces
- Monitor furnace temperatures, gas flow and running speeds
- Carry out quality and process checks throughout production
- Remove, weigh and inspect finished products
- Follow the daily production plan and complete production records
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures when working with furnaces and machinery
What We're Looking For
- Previous manufacturing or factory experience (steel industry experience desirable)
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- FLT licence desirable but not essential
