Start Date: 13th of June 2026 (subject to vessel movements)

We are currently recruiting for multiple experienced Slinger Banksman to support vessel discharge operations in Redcar. This is an initial 10-day contract, with a strong possibility of extension depending on the vessel discharge schedule. Candidates must be fully available for the full duration, including any agreed extension.

Working Hours

  • Day Shifts: 6:00am - 6:00pm (including weekends) you must be available for all shifts
  • Night Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am (including weekends) you must be available for all shifts

Please note: The start date may move slightly depending on vessel arrival and operational requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Slinging and signalling during vessel discharge operations
  • Safe discharge of bulk materials
  • Assisting with vessel cleaning at completion of discharge
  • Working in strict accordance with site health & safety procedures
  • Maintaining clear communication with crane operators and site teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Slinger Banksman
  • Stevedoring experience or port operations is desirable
  • Valid, in-date Slinger / Banksman ticket
  • NPORS, CPCS, or recognised equivalent
  • In-date Rigger certification (where applicable)
  • Strong understanding of health & safety compliance
  • Must pass a Drug & Alcohol test
  • Must attend site induction prior to start

  • Contract may be extended depending on vessel discharge progress
