Overview
We are currently looking for 2 Port Operatives for a client of ours based in Middlesbrough.
Full and Part-time
We have great opportunities for Port Operatives in Middlesbrough both full time and part-time work.
Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working dependent on vessels.

What is the job role of a Port Operative?
Stafforce Port Operatives support the UK\\\βs supply chain from discharge to distribution.
No two days are the same in shipping and a port operative may cover many different roles which include:
- Stevedore / Quayside duties
- Plant driving including Forklift Trucks, Payloaders, Shovels, Tugs and Mobile harbour cranes
- Weighbridge or Gatehouse
- Stock counts
- Industrial cleaning
- Traffic Marshall and Vehicle banksman
Essential
- Health and Safety conscious at all times
- Team player committed to ensuring the completion of works in a safe and timely manner
- Flexible approach to work
- Keen to learn new skills
- Comfortable working outside in all weathers
- CSCS Card β Site Safety
Desirable
- EMSS Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid or Expired Counterbalance Forklift Truck
- HGV licence
- Valid or Expired Payloader / Shovel Licence
- Experience in similar role such as port operative, stevedore, CSCS labourer, plant driver, forklift driver, shovel driver, vehicle banksman, slinger banksman, crane driver, quarry operative, warehouse operative, weighbridge is highly desirable
- Experience operating a radio
