Our client is a leading UK civil engineering contractor delivering some of the country's most significant infrastructure projects.
They are currently seeking an experienced Planner to join their team on a major HS2 scheme.
This role will support the delivery of a £20 million Land & Track Drainage package for BBV (Balfour Beatty VINCI), providing an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK's flagship infrastructure projects.
The Role
Working closely with the project delivery and commercial teams, you will be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining detailed project programmes while supporting project performance and reporting throughout the lifecycle of the scheme.
You will also provide planning expertise to the pre‑construction team, assisting the Estimating Department with future tenders and bids.
- Producing, maintaining and updating detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 (Asta experience will also be considered).
- Monitoring programme performance and identifying risks, delays and opportunities.
- Working closely with site teams to ensure programmes accurately reflect project progress.
- Supporting programme reporting for both internal and client stakeholders.
- Managing programme impacts and supporting change management processes.
• Working within the NEC contract framework, including
- Clause 31 Programmes
- Clause 32 Programme Revisions
- Early Warning Notices (EWNs)
- Compensation Events (CEs)
- Supporting tender planning and estimating activities for future projects.
About You
To be considered, you will have
- Previous experience as a Planner within the UK civil engineering or infrastructure sector.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 (Asta experience is also desirable).
- Experience working under NEC contracts, with a sound understanding of Clause 31, Clause 32, Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Experience working for recognised UK civil engineering contractors.
- Excellent programme management and communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The right to work in the UK.
