We are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a busy, high-volume recycling operation in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or developing engineer looking to build their career within a supportive industrial environment.

Working as part of the site engineering team, you will support the maintenance and reliability of plant equipment across the facility, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities:
  • Electrical fault finding and repairs on plant equipment
  • Supporting planned preventative maintenance activities
  • Assisting with breakdown response and reducing downtime
  • Working on motors, conveyors, rollers, gearboxes and associated machinery
  • Supporting continuous improvement and project work when required
  • Maintaining high health & safety standards across site
  • Accurately updating maintenance records and CMMS systems
About you:
  • Apprentice trained or qualified in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance Engineering
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, recycling, waste, process or heavy industry environments beneficial
  • Basic electrical fault finding and maintenance experience
  • Familiar with industrial plant equipment and machinery
  • Comfortable working in a practical, hands-on environment
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Basic mechanical understanding would be advantageous
