We’re on the lookout for an Events Coordinator to join our independent and boutique client based on the outskirts of Loughborough on a full time, fixed term contract for 9 months. Please note, due to our clients location, being able to drive and having your own car is essential.
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience).
Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday (some flexibility for the right candidate).
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing, researching and securing suitable venues globally
- Negotiating rates and securing the best contract terms
- Ensuring a smooth venue selection process from initial enquiry to confirmation
- Liaising with clients to build and nurture relationships
- Creating detailed proposals and budgets
- Organising venue visits and site inspections
- Staying up to date with new venues, industry trends and market knowledge
- Booking travel and accommodation for project teams
- Supporting on-site delivery when needed
- Jumping in with wider event support as required
Experience with the Microsoft 365 / Office 365 Suite
Essential Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Office
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to think on your feet and adapt to last minute event changes
