Van Driver
We're looking for a dependable and hardworking Van Driver to join our team based in Lockerbie, to complete daily deliveries. You'll be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing a friendly and professional service to customers.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 5.45am start
- Finish when the route is complete – average 8 hours per day
Type: Full-time
Location: Lockerbie
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily deliveries
- Load and unload goods safely, using appropriate equipment where required
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Provide excellent customer service at each delivery point
- Maintain accurate delivery notes and paperwork
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and road‑safe at all times
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence held for no less than 2 years
- Previous van‑driving experience is beneficial but not essential
- No more than 6 points on your licence
- Good physical fitness – some manual handling involved
- Strong time‑management and reliability
- Positive, customer‑focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Pay
- £12.71 per hour basic rate
- £1.02 bonus per hour worked paid weekly, achieved through attendance, scanning rate and driving performance (i.e., no speeding, use of mobile phone, etc.)
