Location: Busy construction/industrial site, Middlesbrough

Start: Immediate

Pay Rates:

  • £14.74 per hour - first 8 hours (Mon-Fri)
  • £22.11 per hour - after 8 hours daily
  • £29.48 per hour - Saturday & Sunday

Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to work on a busy site in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of loading shovel machinery, supporting site material movement, and general yard duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate loading shovel equipment safely and efficiently
  • Load, move, and manage materials as directed
  • Work closely with site supervisors and ground teams
  • Carry out daily machine checks and report defects
  • Maintain high safety standards at all times
  • Support general site operations when required

Requirements

Candidates must hold the following valid certifications:

  • CSCS or CCNSG
  • EMSS
  • NPO RS card (or equivalent recognised qualification)

Additional Requirements

  • Proven experience operating a loading shovel on busy sites
  • Strong awareness of site safety
  • Ability to work weekends when required
  • Reliability and good communication skills
  • Working in all weather conditions
