Key Duties
- Act as the first point of contact for all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) matters.
- Conduct and review HSE assessments, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
- Maintain and support ISO 14001, ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 and ISO 50001 management systems.
- Assist with risk assessments, incident investigations, audits and inspections.
- Promote a positive HSE culture through training, awareness campaigns and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all HSE incidents, reports and complaints are accurately recorded and investigated.
- Liaise with site management and regulatory bodies regarding HSE compliance and best practices.
- Coordinate and deliver inductions and HSE training across the site.
- Support monthly HSE meetings and the implementation of Quality, Environmental and Ethical policies.
- Undertake additional duties as required within the scope of the role.
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards).
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 management systems.
- Food manufacturing experience desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Flexible and adaptable to business needs.
