My client is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Health & Safety across their chemical distribution business and their specialist life‑science manufacturing operation. You will oversee quality systems for imported chemicals, bulk deionised water production, and a laboratory environment producing specialist life‑science products. This is a hands‑on leadership role with real influence, shaping the standards, systems, and culture that keep their people safe and their products trusted.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the company's QMS across chemical and life‑science operations
- Achieve and maintain relevant ISO accreditations (9001, 14001, 45001, 17025 where applicable)
- Manage QA processes including CAPA, audits, document control, and supplier qualification
- Oversee QC testing, lab procedures, equipment calibration, and product release
- Act as the company's Health & Safety lead, ensuring compliance with COSHH, REACH, CLP and HSE requirements
- Drive continuous improvement and promote a strong quality and safety culture
