We are recruiting for a Junior / Trainee H&S Advisor in London, the company is based in Borehamwood, the H&S Advisor will be based on a project in Battersea
Responsibilities
- Carry out regular health and safety inspections and audits on live sites
- Support site teams with HSEQ compliance and procedures
- Monitor activities to identify hazards and report findings
- Review RAMS with the team
- Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations
- Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks/briefings
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and safe systems of work
- Produce inspection reports and maintain safety documentation
- Promote a positive health and safety culture across projects
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act, CDM Regulations and company policies
Key requirements
- Previous experience in construction health & safety or a site-based role (Minimum 6 - 12 months)
- Previous RC Frame experience is highly desirable (open to background, as entry level would consider other sectors
- Any study towards environmental or sustainability would be an advantage
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with site teams
- Eagerness to learn and develop in a safety career
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Full UK Driving Licence
