What is the role of a Port Administrator?
- Ensure the smooth administration of freight imports and exports with the Humber port.
- Ensure compliance in all documentation for freight.
- Use Microsoft Office and Destin8.
- Deliver excellent customer service to all port users.
- Liaise with clients and shipping agents for timely delivery of cargo.
- Maintain accurate record keeping.
What experience do you need to be successful as a Port Administrator?
- Thrive in a busy environment with excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience within the Ports sector is highly desirable; other similar sectors such as Logistics, Warehousing, Rail, or Freight will be considered.
- Previous experience using Destin8 and SAP systems is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of Customs documentation procedure is desirable but not essential.
- Team player with a flexible approach to work.
- Keen to learn new skills.
