They are looking for a new HSE Manager to join the team. You will work closely with managers across the organisation to ensure safe working practices are in place and continuously improved.
Key responsibilities- Ensure full compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
- Develop, review and implement HSE policies, procedures and systems
- Conduct and manage risk assessments, COSHH assessments and internal audits
- Lead accident investigations, reporting and analysis to drive continuous improvement
- Promote a proactive safety-first culture across all departments
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to implement safety improvements
- Develop and maintain Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work processes
- Coordinate contractor and visitor safety on site
- Lead HSE meetings and ensure actions are followed through
- Oversee emergency planning, evacuation procedures and first aid provision
- Support general HSE administration and communication across the business
- Previous experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation and best practice
- Able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
