Head of Finance and Corporate Services | Full-time and Permanent | Salary up to £51,000 | Remote (expectation to go into the office 1-2 days a month) | London
Ashley Kate are thrilled to be working with our client who are a not for profit organisation as they search for a Head of Finance and Corporate services to join the team. In this role you will lead critical functions, including finance, HR, IT, and office management. You will play a key role in strategic planning, staff engagement, and safeguarding while providing expert advice across the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, you’ll manage a diverse team and collaborate with stakeholders to drive growth and success.
Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets for departments to oversee the monitoring of income and expenditure in relation to those budgets and present regular management reports to the relevant committee.
- Lead and implement a strategy and plan for HR services and support including policy & employment law, talent acquisition, retention, learning & development, compensation & benefits and employee relations.
- Lead on safeguarding; this role will be the safeguard lead for the organisation.
- Lead and implement a strategy and plan for financial control and planning.
- Lead and implement a strategy and plan for increasing staff engagement and satisfaction.
- Report to Committees and our Governance on relevant issues.
- Manage and develop staff teams.
About You:
- Strong financial experience, especially with reporting and budgeting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding.
- Strong ability to manage the finances of a £5m+ organisation.
- Strong ability to lead the HR function of a 60+ person organisation.
- Strong ability to communicate simply and clearly, both verbally and in writing, and adapt messages to audiences.
- Excellent ability to adapt your approach to the working styles of different people, at all levels of seniority.
- Strong judgement and discretion in highly sensitive environments.
