Working Hours: Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30, Friday: 08:00 - 15:30. Flexibility may be required to accommodate overtime when meeting customer deadlines.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about precision engineering and quality assurance, with future progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and measurements using a Faro Arm to ensure product quality.
  • Work closely with production teams to maintain and improve quality standards.
  • Support automotive plastics projects and quality processes for both plastics and metal components.
  • Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining quality documentation and reporting systems.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Support innovation in materials, production methods, and product design.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience using Faro Arm inspection equipment.
  • Experience within automotive plastics preferred.
  • Exposure to metal components advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience inspecting machined components.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ambition to progress into a Quality Manager role.
  • Experience within automotive or aerospace sectors is beneficial.
