About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about precision engineering and quality assurance, with future progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and measurements using a Faro Arm to ensure product quality.
- Work closely with production teams to maintain and improve quality standards.
- Support automotive plastics projects and quality processes for both plastics and metal components.
- Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining quality documentation and reporting systems.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing and engineering processes.
- Support innovation in materials, production methods, and product design.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience using Faro Arm inspection equipment.
- Experience within automotive plastics preferred.
- Exposure to metal components advantageous but not essential.
- Experience inspecting machined components.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ambition to progress into a Quality Manager role.
- Experience within automotive or aerospace sectors is beneficial.
