FOOD PRODUCTION OPERATIVE

We are recruiting experienced Food Production Operatives to join a leading food manufacturing business in Grimsby, Europarc. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established employer supplying high-quality food products to major retailers across the UK. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to work across various production departments including High Risk, Cook House, Prep, and Pack Out. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy a fast-paced environment, can work as part of a team and are flexible across a variety of production tasks.

Shift pattern / Working hours

This position operates on a rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday; 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am

Candidates must be able to work all three shifts on rotation.

Food Production Operative positions are available with immediate starts. These are ongoing opportunities with the potential for long-term employment for the right candidates.

Job description

As a Food Production Operative, you will support a range of manufacturing departments to ensure products are prepared, cooked, filled, packed and dispatched to the highest quality standards.

Duties may include:

  • Preparing ingredients and raw materials for production
  • Operating packing machinery
  • Supporting Cook House operations including mixing and cooking products
  • Operating and monitoring soup filling and production equipment
  • Packing finished products ready for distribution Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications
  • Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures always
  • Assisting with product changeovers and line cleaning activities
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient working environment
  • Recording production information accurately where required
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets

The successful candidate:

To be considered for the position of Food Production Operative you must;

  • Have previous food production or manufacturing experience
  • Be comfortable working across different production departments
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Be flexible to work rotating shifts
  • Have excellent attention to detail and quality standards
  • Be reliable with good attendance and timekeeping
  • Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand the importance of food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
