We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and hardworking FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy operation based in Grimsby. This is a great opportunity to work within a well-established environment, supporting daily warehouse and hygiene operations. Please note, this role is within a fish processing setting, handling fish by-products, so there is a strong smell.
Shift Pattern / Working Hours
- This role operates on a primary shift pattern: Tuesday - Thursday: 6.00am till 6.00pm
- Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work: Monday - Friday: 6.00am till 2.00pm during busy periods or holidays

The FLT Counterbalance Driver role is available to start immediately following an interview. This is a temporary position until September, with the potential to be extended.
Job Description
As an FLT Counterbalance Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Loading, unloading, and moving stock across site
- Supporting general warehouse operations
- Carrying out hygiene cleaning duties and housekeeping
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Assisting with site cleanliness due to the nature of the products handled (Approx. 66% FLT Duties / 30% hygiene & housekeeping)
The Successful Candidate:
To be considered for the FLT Counterbalance Driver role, you must have:
- A valid FLT Counterbalance Licence
- Previous experience operating FLT in a busy environment
- Willingness to carry out hygiene/cleaning duties
- Flexibility with working hours when required
- Strong work ethic and reliability
