General Engineering Labourer

Our client is seeking a dependable and adaptable General Engineering Labourer to join our dynamic production team. This is a hands-on role offering full training and career development in a supportive, team-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Engineering Support:
- Assist machinists, welders, and engineers with fabrication and assembly tasks
- Operate basic workshop machinery and tools (e.g., chop saws, grinders, drills)
- Work within our paint spraying booth to assist with finishing tasks
General Labour:
- Safely handle and store materials around the site
- Perform general housekeeping and light gardening duties
- Use the company pool car for collecting and delivering parts, tools, or materials
Health & Safety:
- Follow all site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
- Assist with maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition
Requirements
- Experience: Some prior labouring or production experience is essential; experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting is a plus
- Skills:
- Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Other:
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour
- Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and priorities
Desirable (Training Provided if Needed)
- Experience with forklift and/or crane operation
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and gardening tools
