We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Forklift Engineer on a full time and permanent basis for our client based in Loughborough. Job Title: Workshop Engineer Location: Loughborough Salary: Β£28,000 to Β£33,000 per annum DOE Hours of work: 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday
- Carrying out servicing, repairs, inspections, and maintenance on forklift trucks and material handling equipment
- Diagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Preparing and refurbishing equipment to a high standard
- Working on a variety of forklift and material handling equipment
- Completing accurate job reports and workshop paperwork
- Carrying out pre-delivery inspections
- Ensuring machines are maintained and prepared to a high standard before returning to customers
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Working closely with colleagues, suppliers, and customers when required
- Following all Health & Safety requirements and company procedures
About You
- Previous experience maintaining or repairing forklift trucks, plant, agricultural, automotive, or similar equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Good knowledge of hydraulic systems
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- A flexible and helpful attitude
