Role Overview

As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, working on a variety of projects that require precision and skill. You will be responsible for fabricating and welding components for light and medium equipment, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication & Welding: Perform high-quality fabrication and welding work on various types of metal components.
  • Reading Engineering Drawings: Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints to produce accurate parts.
  • Material Handling: Work with a range of metals, ensuring proper selection and preparation before fabrication.
  • Precision & Quality Control: Conduct careful and precise welding operations while adhering to tight tolerances and inspection standards.
  • Equipment Operation: Utilize tools such as grinders, saws, welding machines, and press brakes to complete fabrication projects.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues in the fabrication process and collaborate with team members to find effective solutions.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a secure and efficient working environment.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience: Either apprentice-trained or hands-on experience in fabrication and welding.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of design techniques and principles used in precision technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in Welding: Ability to perform MIG welding and stainless TIG welding as required with precision.
  • Engineering Drawings: Ability to confidently read and interpret detailed blueprints and schematics.
  • Fabrication Experience: Prior work with light, medium, and sheet metal is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: High standard of workmanship, ensuring accuracy and quality in every task.
