- Hours: Mon-Thurs (7.30am to 4.30pm) and Fridays (7.30am-12.30pm)

Overview: Working in modern, purpose built (clean and warm) manufacturing facilities we now require a Fabrications Manager to lead the Fabrications department consisting of platers, welders, fabricators and fettlers.
Key responsibilities of the Fabrications Manager role:
- Supporting the Production Manager in the efficient running of the area, being the first point of contact and helping with communication throughout the Production process to ensure that quality goods are delivered to our customers on time.
- Leading the teams in meeting and exceeding customer requirements on quality, cost and delivery.
- Support, develop and promote improvement activities to products and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure daily hours achieved and that late to start and late to end is in line with company targets.
- To manage effective handover between shifts using the SQCDP framework and co‑ordinate the team's production activities in order to ensure that agreed targets are achieved and to elevate to operations any areas of concern which cannot be resolved locally within the area.
- Be accountable for the appropriate management of the teams/individual's development/performance/conduct/absence in a timely manner with a consistent approach.
The ideal candidate may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Competent in fabrication and welding techniques such as MIG, Stick Welding, Plating etc.
- Previous experience in a leading role beneficial.
- Competent working with large fabrications (Not sheet metal).
