About the role of a Maintenance Engineer / Technician in a Manufacturing Plant in Southampton:
- Maintain, service and repair all production equipment on site.
- Assist with the maintenance of all ancillary equipment / facilities across the site.
- Develop, implement, and adhere to a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and call-outs, recording and reporting on faults to identify trends.
- Carry out general site maintenance and engineering projects as required.
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives where required.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety requirements, and with internal and external quality standards.
About You:
- Holds a recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS 7671).
- Proven experience within a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- A knowledge of PLC systems and control panels is preferred.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
Working hours are days only Monday to Friday.
