About the role of a Maintenance Engineer / Technician in a Manufacturing Plant in Southampton:

  • Maintain, service and repair all production equipment on site.
  • Assist with the maintenance of all ancillary equipment / facilities across the site.
  • Develop, implement, and adhere to a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and call-outs, recording and reporting on faults to identify trends.
  • Carry out general site maintenance and engineering projects as required.
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives where required.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety requirements, and with internal and external quality standards.

About You:

  • Holds a recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS 7671).
  • Proven experience within a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • A knowledge of PLC systems and control panels is preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport.

Working hours are days only Monday to Friday.
