We are seeking to recruit a practical, organised and proactive Lead Site Joiner to support modular construction projects across England and Wales. This is a key operational role, focused on making sure each project runs smoothly. The Lead Site Joiner will be responsible for carrying out the supervision of sites, liaising with the Project Manager and the Customer. Requires someone confident, hands-on and capable of taking control of the Joinery and general construction works.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Subcontractors, Purchasing, Design and Operations to ensure site conditions and installation run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing accurate materials take-offs to support purchasing and planning
- Liaising with subcontract teams to confirm scope, expectations, access requirements, plant, materials and programme
- Working closely with Project Managers from site start to handover
- Identifying and escalating risks that could affect cost, programme, quality or safety
- Ensuring site photographs, survey notes and information are recorded clearly and shared with the relevant teams
- Helping reduce avoidable delays by ensuring sites are properly supervised
We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and confident working on site. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in site joinery, construction, site supervision or domestic building works.
- A good understanding of site working practices, timber frames, all aspects of joinery.
- The ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and site information.
- Confidence liaising with subcontractors and site teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to identify potential issues before they become problems.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to challenge poor preparation or unclear information when needed.
- A strong awareness of health and safety requirements relating to site activity.
- Confidence using digital systems, forms, photographs and basic reporting tools.
- Site-based construction background
- Experience of materials take-offs
- Knowledge of drainage, service connections and domestic construction works
- SSSTS or similar site supervision qualification would be beneficial, but is not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Hands-on and practical
