The predicted salary is between 38000 - 52000 Β£ per year.

Working in modern, purpose-built manufacturing facilities we now require a shift manager to lead the late shift. You will be tasked to drive the shift forward with regards to productivity and output, leading a team of circa 30 people that have a range of different skill sets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of skilled and semi-skilled staff.
  • Ensure production targets (output, quality, efficiency) are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor shift performance and address any operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Conduct shift handovers and ensure clear communication across teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste.
  • Ensure accurate completion of shift reports, production records, and KPI tracking.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.

The ideal candidate / Shift Manager

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment in a leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • 5S and lean manufacturing methodology - experience.

Benefits

  • Pay: Β£46,000 (inclusive of shift premium)
  • Shift/hours: Monday 3pm to 1am, Tuesday to Thursday 3pm to 12:30am - 36.5hr week
  • Location: Derby
  • Industry: Manufacturing
  • Holidays/benefits: Production Bonus Scheme, Pension, Death in Service Benefit - 2 x annual salary, Additional Annual Leave Entitlement, 5.6 weeks of annual leave per year.
