Working in modern, purpose-built manufacturing facilities we now require a Quality Engineer to join the quality department which consists of Quality Director, Quality Manager, Senior Quality Engineers, Quality Engineers, Quality Inspectors and CMM.
Responsibilities
- Support the Quality Manager in maintaining certifications.
- Conduct product and system audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
- Compile documentation packs to support product delivery and traceability.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine quality standards.
- Apply First Article Inspection techniques in line with AS9100 requirements.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Use quality tools to detect, contain, and investigate non-conformances, ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented.
- Define and apply process control methods, including identifying critical control points and developing work instructions.
The ideal candidate / Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a quality engineering role focused towards manufacturing and ideally highly regulated parts such as Aerospace, Automotive, Rail. (desirable and not essential)
- Knowledge of machining and fabrication techniques for metal components.
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO14001 & NADCAP.
- Knowledge of Process flow charts, PFMEA & PPAP.
Commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Burton-Upon-Trent and surrounding areas.
