  • Starting pay usually £16.46 per hour x 37hr week = £31669 per annum + Overtime = Earnings of £37000 achievable.
  • Hourly rates increase with skill set via the companies skills matrix.
  • Overtime rates: 1.5 Mon-Sat and Double time on Sundays.

Overview:

Working for a large manufacturing business that have sites across the UK. The Mechanical Assembly Fitter will be site-based working as part of the assembly team. You will be tasked to build the machinery using mechanical hand tools (spanners, torque wrenches etc.) whilst reading the assembly/engineering drawings to ensure that the products are built in the correct way.

Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembly Fitter role:

  • Reading assembly instruction/engineering drawings you will be building the bespoke machinery that the company manufactures onsite.

The ideal candidate / Mechanical Assembly Fitter may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • A mechanical skill set - ability to work with tools (spanners/wrenches), nuts and bolts
  • Computer literate
  • Strong communication skills
  • NVQ level 2 or above in a mechanical skill set beneficial
  • Competent at following assembly instructions
