We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller Setter / Operator to join their precision engineering team. You will be working with VMC 3-axis milling machines to set and operate production of high-quality components.
Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-performance cutting blades, precision slideways, and steel components used across multiple process industries worldwide. They specialise in heat treatment processes to produce blades and components with guaranteed quality, hardness, and performance. Their products are renowned for the ultimate in dimensional control, surface finish, and precision, proven in the most demanding heavy-duty CNC applications.
The company can offer a competitive rate of £15-20 per hour with overtime available.
Key Responsibilities- Set and operate 3-axis VMC milling machines to produce precision components
- Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models accurately
- Use metrology tools to verify component quality
- Maintain production output targets while upholding exacting quality standards
- Work proactively to solve problems and ensure smooth production flow
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling centres
- Competent with 3-axis VMC machines
- Ability to manage multiple machines efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and numerical ability
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable
- Shift Pattern 1: 4-day week (days)
- Shift Pattern 2: 3-night week - Rotating Shift Pattern
- Option to work permanent nights
