  • Hours: Flex - Monday to Thursday (8hrs) start time between 7.00am and 8.30am and Fridays (6hrs) start time between 7.00am and 8.30am (38hr week)

Overview: We now require an additional Controls Engineer to join the team. Working in modern purpose-built manufacturing facilities for a company that manufacture bespoke automated machinery. You will be working in a first-class engineering environment that have processes such as machining, fabrication and a number of outsourced processes also.

Key responsibilities of the Controls Engineer role:

  • Design & Program: Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs for automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot & Optimize: Analyse control systems to identify issues and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
  • Provide detailed documentation both during and upon project completion to other engineering departments and for the end user, such as FDS's, FAT's, User Manuals etc.

The ideal candidate may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • HNC/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in PLC / HMI Programming - Rockwell/Allen Bradley/Mitsubishi.
  • Previous experience working as a Controls / Automation Engineer in an automation and machine build/machine design environment or similar.
  • Experience using software such as Studio 5000, Factory Talk View, GX Works 2, GT Designer 3 & Machine edition.

Commutable from: Castle Donington, Derby, Loughborough, Leicester, Burton Upon Trent, Ashby and surrounding areas.
