We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist on a temp to perm basis in the Burton on Trent area.
Salary: up to £16ph
Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am to 3pm or 7am to 4pm | Friday 6am to 11am or 7am to 12 noon
Overtime available.
Your responsibilities include:
- Set up and run machines to meet customer specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and ensure parts are manufactured in line with quality requirements
- Use manual measuring equipment such as verniers, calipers, micrometres, etc, to ensure parts meet customer requirements
About you:
- Ideally experienced using Centre Lathes - Colchester, TRENS, Harrison | Capstan Lathes, Herbert and Vertical / Horizontal Borers ? Webster Bennett / Union BFT
- Proven machining experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Able to measure and inspect your own work
- General engineering experience is welcome but not essential
- Confidence in performing self-inspection of parts using manual measuring equipment
