The predicted salary is between 34000 - 51000 £ per year.
Hours On or off site – 8am to 4:30pm – Monday to Friday – 30 minute unpaid break (in addition to these hours, you will be expected to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required).

About the role:
- Performing general hydraulic engineering duties, maintenance, and installation of hydraulic equipment & systems.
- Provide engineering leadership for a team of engineers and mentorship to junior engineers as well as contribute to the design and development of new products and features.
- Ensure engineering processes are followed, and product quality is maintained.
- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing and (breakdown) repairs of hydraulic equipment.
- General engineering, maintenance, and installation of hydraulic systems.
- Manufacture of new systems and machines along with cylinder refurbishments, pipe fitting & manipulation.
- Onsite servicing works covering all aspects of hydraulic engineering.
- Support installation, commissioning activities, field troubleshooting and fault finding.
- Advise customers in the proper operation of the equipment where required.
- Provide technical direction to the engineering team.
- Provide telephone technical support to customers as and when needed.
- Contribute to the design and development of new products & services.
- Attend project meetings and report back to other members of the team as necessary.
- Ensure basic H&S procedures are followed in the workshop and on site.
- Ensure that all work and parts are properly recorded and service reports are completed.
- Ensure proper control and security of vehicle spares stocks (where applicable) & maintain personal and departmental equipment in a safe and tidy state.
About you:
- 5 years' experience in engineering.
- Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical/hydraulic discipline.
- Computer literate including Microsoft Office applications.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Good use of various hand tools and fully a‑f. of hydraulic tools.
- Good knowledge of the English language, both oral and written.
- Experience in team management and/or supervising providing clear direction and guidance.
