A well-established distributor of cooking oils is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Administrator to support a busy transport and warehouse operation. The business supplies high-quality products to customers across the UK and prides itself on efficiency and reliability.
Role Overview
We are looking for an organised and confident Administrator to support office and dispatch functions within our warehouse environment. Previous experience in dispatch or logistics is highly desirable, as it will allow candidates to progress more quickly in the role compared to a general office admin background. This role requires strong computer skills, the ability to manage high volumes of communication, and the confidence to interact with drivers, including those with limited English.
Key Responsibilities
- Checking in drivers and supporting dispatch operations
- Communicating patiently and clearly with drivers, including those with weaker English skills
- Managing a high volume of emails, prioritising transport-related communications
- Processing transport documents, including:
- Return notes
- Next day loading packets
- Packet updates
Key Skills & Requirements
- Experienced with Microsoft Windows
- Fluent in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Previous dispatch, transport, or logistics experience is an advantage
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to manage a busy inbox and process urgent communications efficiently
- Patient, professional, and confident when dealing with drivers and staff
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
